Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
The University at Albany congratulates more than 4,000 students who were named to the Fall 2017 Dean's List. Students named to the Dean's List earned at least a 3.5 GPA.
SUNY Oswego has awarded Presidential Scholarships to a select group of students who started at the college in fall 2017. The scholarships are $20,000 over four years -- $5,000 a year -- for students residing on campus. Off-campus Presidential Scholarships are $2,500 a year.

Forty-seven HCC students were honored during an induction ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 26. This special event recognizes students who have demonstrated academic achievement according to the Phi Theta Kappa standards. Students are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa when they have completed 15 college credits with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

The prestigious awards, which honor the teams with the highest cumulative team grade point average in the AMCC, were presented to the student-athletes from Medaille's baseball, women's bowling, women's lacrosse, softball, and men's volleyball squads. World Ambassadors are rising sophomores who have completed a year in one of the University at Albany's Living-Learning Communities (L-LCs) and demonstrated leadership within their communities. In addition to strong leadership skills, Ambassadors possess excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of academic success, and provide transitional assistance to new freshmen who are entering Living-Learning Communities. Appointees must be nominated by the L-LC faculty and are then selected and trained by Student Engagement, housed in the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education.
The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) recently recognized the Medaille College women's bowling team with an Academic Team Award. The team was one of 36 programs across the country to receive the award by earning an average GPA of 3.46. In addition, six Mavericks were honored with NTCA Academic Individual Awards. Ysobel Conrad, Caitlyn Cornish, Kaitlyn Doane, Michelle Magee, Taylor Reese and Jennifer Stewart were recognized for having a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
Ithaca College student Kerry Miley spent her summer as an intern for the Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center. LESHRC is a nonprofit that aims to minimize negative impacts associated with injection drug use, and outreach on the street is a huge component of the organization's activities.
